About Us

Joan’s passion for flowers started way back as a child helping her Mum in the flower garden and Dad on the allotment.

After studying Horticulture Joan went on to study Animal Medicine gaining her AMTRA qualification and NVQ Animal Nursing Qualifications. Joan then moved to Cumbria into a retail managerial role and from there moved to Annan Dumfries and Galloway where Joan and her Husband settled and has never looked back. Joan took the plunge and in 2018 started the process of her first Flower and gift shop.

Joan then expanded and opened Floral Designs by Joan in lockdown!!! , Floral Designs by Joan continues from Dumfries and Joan is working on this so watch this space!

Joan was last year nominated by the Scotlands business awards for Best New Business and Best Florist, Joan came in the top Three florists in Dumfries and Galloway and again for the second year running Joan has been nominated for Best Florist.
